The typical dry season
|
Tanzania lies within the tropics and enjoys a pleasant climate with distinct dry
and rainy seasons. The rainy seasons tend to occur between late March and early June
and again between mid November the end of December. The remainder of the year is
mostly dry. Much of the country lies at altitudes where mornings and evenings are
cool and the middle of the day is warmed by the equatorial sun. Due to the proximity
to the equator, the annual variation in temperature is small. The average temperature
during the day is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit, while at night it can drop to as low
as 50 degrees Fahrenheit in some areas. |
